Student Research

Active participation in research is an important part of the undergraduate experience at NCSU. Student participation is welcome in virtually all of the research programs in the Physics Department, as well as in labs in other departments associated with Physics. • NCSU Undergraduate Research Symposium Physics students join others throughout the university in presenting their work at the annual Undergraduate Research Symposium. Check out the list of NSF-sponsored Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) programs in Physics, Materials Science, and Astronomy. • NC State Physics REU Program Several students from NCSU as well as other schools around the country participate each summer in the NC State Physics REU program.
