Congratulations to Chung Ji, re-elected as a member of International Light Cone Advisory Committee (ILCAC) to serve for another three years.


Welcome to C. J. Hathorne, who joined the department June 26 as Office Assistant. C. J. has taken the position vacated by Becky Savage when Becky moved to the main office. C. J. 's office is 410G Cox, and her phone number is 5-3417


Congratulations to David Wood, selected as Associate Zone Councilor for the National Office of the Society of Physics Students for 2000-2001.


New Department Key Request Procedure. In order to help insure smooth workflow in the Department office, a new procedure for requesting keys has been implemented.

Key request forms will be available at the front desk in the Department office. When filled out and submitted to Leslie Moon's mailbox in the Main office before 10:00AM, the requested keys will be distributed in an envelope to the appropriate mailbox by 5:00.


REU Student Talks are scheduled for August 3 in Cox 400 from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with an hour break for lunch. A more detailed schedule will be posted in the mailroom.


Reminder: Rebecca Savage's office has moved to the back of the Department's main office area. (Where Wilma Gill's office used to be.) Leslie Moon is now located in the office adjacent to Chris Gould's office.


Addressing Outgoing Mail. The University pays a surcharge to the US Post Office whenever the percentage of outgoing mail improperly addressed is excessive. Please remember to address outgoing mail in the following format:

1) Typed address

2) All Capital letters

3) No Punctuation

4) Proper 2 letter abbreviation for state.

5) ATTN: notice should be FIRST line of address.

DEPT OF PHYSICS
BRILLIANT UNIVERSITY
1245 OAK DR
ANYTOWN PA 15101
