Faculty Conflict of Interest disclosure due.

Annually, all Faculty and EPA professionals must file a conflict of interest disclosure form with the University. This is an automated, web-based process that requires between 2 and 15 minutes depending on the nature of your disclosure. The form will ask you certain questions that will guide you in determining what, if anything, you should disclose as required by federal and state law, and NC State University administrative regulations. You need to complete the disclosure form prior to engaging in any external professional activities for pay or submitting a proposal for extramural funding, and in any case no later than August 31st  2006.

Instructions:

 (1) Go to:   www.ncsu.edu/sparcs/coi/

 (2) Log into the COI system using your Unity ID and password.

 (3)  Choose “Create or Edit My Disclosure”.

 (4) If nothing in your disclosure has changed from last year, then select "Copy data to new disclosure", otherwise complete a blank disclosure form.  In either case, then click the “Create New disclosure form” button.

 (5) Once your disclosure form is completed, click the "Approve and Route for Review" button at the bottom of the form page.

 (6) The next-level authority responsible for your department will be automatically notified to review and approve your disclosure form.

 (7) If you have any questions regarding the use of the system, please consult the following URL, where you can send an e-mail message via the web:  www.ncsu.edu/sparcs/pins/coi_help.html

or call the help line at 515-4267.

SESAPS Meeting

Our department will be hosting the SESAPS meeting in 2008.  This year's meeting will be held November 9th through 11th  in  Williamsburg, VA.

In recent years, NC State participation in the meeting has been dwindling.  As a premier department in the southeast, we should have

a larger presence at this meeting.  Please consider going to the meeting or sending students and/or post-docs to represent your group.

Abstracts deadline in August 18th, and information is available at:

conferences.jlab.org/SESAPS/index.html.
