Thomas Lecture “The State of String Theory”, delivered by noted science writer
Brian Greene, will be held on Monday,
January 23rd, at 4:00 PM in Dabney Hall room 124.
A second talk for the general public, entitled “The Fabric of the Cosmos” will follow
at 6:00 PM in Stewart Theater.
The LH Thomas Lecture banquet will begin at 8:00 PM.

Integrative
Graduate and Research Traineeship
NSF has announced that there will be a limit of 4 preliminary
proposal per institution for the 2006 Integrative Graduate and Research

Johnson is stepping down as Director of Undergraduate Programs. The department is grateful for all the
