Astronomy Trivia
Mars will
reach its closest point to Earth on October 30th, but the best views
will likely be on Halloween night. Mars
will rise at sunset and hang overhead through most of the night.
The rumor going around that this is
the closest approach to Earth in 50,000 years in false. The last close approach in 2003 held that
record.
